On a clear day view until Volterra
Casa Marino is a wonderful and nicely restored building in the hills between Lucca and Pisa enjoying a breathtaking view from all over the property, the house and the private pool due to its location on a slope. The garden, some 1000 m2 large, is shaped in terraces and completely fenced.
From the well asphalted little road you will reach the holidy rental after the last 500 m. Through a gate you get on the property, drive a few more meters downwards to your parking lot.Here already you will meet the splendid amber regional stone with its beautiful typical grain. In order to keep nature alive people have simply integrated the rocks into landscape and buildings, which in the end turned out very nicely as the individual charm could be maintained.
The upper level is completely divided by a wooden fence (with gate) from the lower one whith the pool.
Of course you will not miss any comfort like SatTV including WiFi, the windows have fly screens, the village of Buti with good shops in very close distance.
Nice for familiy with kids - dog welcome
Up here you will enjoy a fantastic wooden panorama terrace with superb view on the area surrounding. On the same level there is the nice grill room built into a terrace as well, with working surface, tap and log-fire pizza-oven.
One terrace lies below the pool level, from here as well the view is just great. The beautiful stone landscape with its natural local stone is impressive, with an outdoor shower nicely integrated.
At the pool there is the sitting area with umbrella and loungers, next to the house another covered terrace best suited for relaxation.
on the upper slope you will find: Covered panorama terrace large 8x2 m with table and chairs, brick built barbecue, wood oven, wash basin.
The pool is separated from the upper level, a baby bed is available, a high chair, baby tub and trolley at your disposal.
Suggestions for day trips
Upon request (and payment) guided mountain bike tours or street tours in the area, Monte Serra, Volterra.......with former Italian lady champion...
Day trips to Tuscany's art cities (Florence 74 Km), Lucca (20 Km), Pisa (28 Km) Siena or at the Tuscan coast (Marina di Pisa 40 Km).The village Buti is about 1,5 km distanz - there are several shops, Restaurant etc.
It is worth to mention also the mild climate we find up here on the Southern slope of the Pisa Mountains: Citrus plants will be in flower all over the year, still at mid November we have gathered sweet strawberries. It is just pleasant to sit in the sun.
Ideal also for who travels with a dog - the property is mesh wire fenced , 1.10 m high. Characteristic Tuscany architecture, nicely furnished and very bright. Parking next to the house.

Tolle Lage, wir waren zu Dritt mit Dackel, haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt, mußten aber 2 Schlupflöcher im Zaun notdürftig zumachen.
Wir werden wahrscheinlich wieder dieses Haus buchen.

Der Urlaub war sehr erholsam. Das Haus und der Pool wunderbar. Die Außendusche (warm) war ein großes Plus. Aussicht toll. Angenehm war auch, dass es erst vor ein paar Jahren restauriert wurde. Sauber und zum Wohlfühlen.
