Tuscan Villa sleeps 10 +
Villa L'Arco is the noble part of a long-established wine-growing estate. It is situated on the highest point of the hill on the margins of the estate and enjoys absolute independent from the adjacent buildings of the Agriturismo with their elegant apartments. In fact the villa lies in its private garden with century old trees in beautiful panoramic location with a view on to the charming Tuscany landscape.
About the Villa
The main characteristics of the villa are its immense space offer and a generous equipment and furniture with much comfort for the guest. There are also some very nice antique pieces from from the owner's family. Ground floor consists of large interconnected living rooms including a billiard room; all rooms are separated from each other by impressive high arcs. On the upper floor you will first get to another large living with its enormous open fire place. From here you have access to the rustic kitchen, furnished with modern equipment, the well kept "indoor" barbecue and a pizza oven.
The large dining room is separated from the living by a high arc. There are two sleeping areas with all together 5 bed rooms each of which with its own bath-room.
- all bedrooms have double beds, 2 extra beds may be ordered with the booking, air conditioning in the bedrooms.
Around the villa
The nice pool, in exclusive use for the villa's guests, lies in convenient distance in nice panoramic location.
The recently, very elegantely restored apartmenst of the estate enjoy another pool.
For golfers there is one more "Goody": the nice golf course "Bellosguardo" is at just 5 car minutes away - actually, you will see it from the villa garden.

Nachdem wir nur schon wieder 2 Wochen zuhause sind, kommt wie versprochen eine kurze Bewertung:
Die Villa ist eine Wucht in Größe (außen und innen) und mit den 5 Bädern zu den 5 Schlafzimmern, wir hatten alle unsere Privatsphäre.
Die Küche im ersten Stock war erst ein wenig gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber durch die, wie schon von Ihnen erwähnt, kurzen Wege, haben wir es schnell im Griff gehabt.
Die Weinverköstigung haben wir nicht mehr geschafft, machen wir das nächste Mal; aber einige von uns haben Golf gespielt. Tatsächlich, ein Katzensprung, wenn man über die Felder geht, müsste man doch auch zu Fuß hinkommen, das wäre doch interessant.
Danke noch einmal und es hat alles gut geklappt!

Public transportation: Empoli trainstation 6km
At Vinci you may visit the impressive Leonardo museum. From Empoli station at some 20 minutes distance trains to Florence or Pisa go almost every hour; also Castelfiorentino can be reached easily.
You will see the towers of San Miniato as for example the old defense tower from the times of Friedrich Barbarossa, later used by Leonardo da Vinci as bastion in the war between Florence and the Pope.
